Delhi Public School
A modern institutional space that balances functionality, aesthetics, and a nature-connected environment.
This Delhi Public School campus is designed as a climate-responsive educational space that balances modern architecture with environmental sensitivity. The design approach focuses on creating a comfortable and energy-efficient environment for students while maintaining a strong architectural identity.
One of the key highlights of the project is the use of exposed brick façades, which not only add visual character but also act as a thermal buffer against harsh climatic conditions. The perforated brick screens and layered walls help in reducing heat gain, allowing natural ventilation while maintaining indoor comfort. These elements play a crucial role in passive cooling, making the building more sustainable and energy-efficient.
The building layout is carefully planned to maximize natural light and airflow. Open terraces, shaded corridors, and recessed openings ensure that direct sunlight is controlled while still allowing bright, well-lit interiors. The structure is elevated in parts, improving air circulation and reducing heat buildup at ground level.
Overall, the project stands as a thoughtful example of climate-responsive architecture, where material selection, spatial planning, and environmental considerations come together to create a sustainable and student-friendly educational space.
